Guniz Evirgen is a fantastic teacher. I started taking Turkish lessons to keep me busy during Covid. Now, almost four years later, I am still taking lessons! And that is only because of Guniz. She makes everything interesting, explains things extremely well, is totally committed to her students, and above all is fun. I look forward to every class and the time flies by. When I look back at my notes, I realize how much I have learned and how far Guniz has brought me with the language. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

I have been taking Turkish lessons with Güniz for five years (and counting!). I have done a private group as well as solo tutoring. Güniz has a strong pedagogical background with good syllabuses to follow but is also very open to collaboration and tailoring lessons to your individual needs and interests. Her lessons are focused on both speaking and grammar which makes her the perfect teacher for obtaining conversational fluency or professional expertise. Güniz is great at accommodating busy schedules; she encourages homework but is understanding when life gets in the way. Our conversations not only help me improve my language skills but also provide me with an understanding of modern Turkish society and recent events. I could not recommend her more highly!
